Learning to speak

Wedding preparations with hitches

Not without my glove puppet
The story of a depressed father and family man who finds new courage to face life through a beaver glove puppet: Jodie Foster tackles a difficult subject in a surprisingly light-footed film. Chronically depressed company head Walter Black is at the end of his tether. It's only by chance that a glove puppet on his hand prevents his suicide attempt when it starts to talk to him. From then on, the beaver takes over and soon Walter's only contact with the outside world is through him.

No more dance ban
